The very first demo I recorded and another song that had a whole life of its own on Soundcloud with hundreds of streams. It was inspired by the very first episode of The Walking Dead and is going out to coincide with the release of Zombieland Double Tap. It's not a song I play live and it'll never appear on an album - just a fun sad song I wanted to share.

Her perfect smile’s a crooked grin
She never used to have that tone of skin
Her painted nails and red lipstick
Have faded post-Apocalypse
I’m glad to see at least she’s kept her figure
But I must admit I’ve seen her looking better
It’s the end of the world and I’m in love with a zombie girl

We used to eat in restaurants
Share meals by candle light
The way she looks at me right now
I can see she’s found her appetite
My baby’s died and gone to zombie heaven
To hell with total Armageddon
It’s the end of the world and I’m in love with a zombie girl

How sweet our love used to be
So I hope you don’t mind this suggestion
We’ll have one last date, for old time’s sake
You and me and Smith & Wesson
I’ll take my ring off your cold dead hand
Then I’ll make my final stand
It’s the end of the world and I’m in love with a zombie girl
